Help! I've lost my survey site mojo!
You know when it's just one of those days and you really can't be bothered doing yet another survey you'll probably be disqualified from, but you know you should really be earning to get to your targets?
I bet we've all had it, when the thought of another day trying to reach goal on Swagbucks, or getting to cash out on InstaGC or Earnably just feels like a chore.
And it seems like everyone else is just 'getting it' while you're fighting a daily battle to earn less than minimum wage?
Do you know something? I get like that for at least a week a month, sometimes more.
Here's what helps me get out of the funk.
Switch sites.
At times it's just easier to earn on some sites than others. If Swagbucks isn't doing it for you, forget about that extra 300sb for your Monthly Master - it's about £2.40 and really not worth the stress. Try a different site to the one you've been struggling with.Run videos
If I see another 'Here's 1sb for trying' I think I'll scream! Run the video apps on Swagbucks, Playlist 4 and 6, EngagemeTV/Smores and Video Loyalty for InstaGC, or (not AND) EngagemeTV/Smores and Video Loyalty for Earnably. It's passive earnings and most modern phones and tablets can multiscreen, although it does help if you have a laptop.Take a quick break
Go read a book, have a walk, play with the kids, just get your head out of the survey drama and enjoy some time not worrying about targets and goals and when you can next cash out.Come and moan in the group
Everyone is allowed a moan sometimes, and we don't mind the occasional moan in the Facebook group - you'll find lots of help and support.Reread the blog posts
I really can't recommend this highly enough. We wrote them to help you and you never know when you'll pick up hints and tips that you hadn't even thought about. And if you haven't read the blog posts, READ THE BLOG POSTS!And if all else fails...
Take a longer break
Sometimes a few days or weeks off is enough to get your mojo back.
What do you do to get out of survey slump? Let me know in the comments below.

Ten things you (probably) didn't know about Branded Surveys
Branded Surveys (formerly known as Mintvine) takes a bit of a backseat to the other main GPT sites, but when used well can be a great earner, and if you can spare a few minutes a day to add it into your GPT repertoire, you'll soon see you can earn well from it alongside other sites.
Not a member? You can join Branded Surveys here.
Here are 10 things you may or may not know about Branded Surveys:
Read more about the Daily Poll on Branded Surveys here.
So stop ignoring and deleting those Branded Surveys emails, a few clicks and you could be adding to your points balance without even having to complete a survey.
1000 points is $10 to Paypal, or to a number of giftcards (including my favourite, Pizza Express). Payment takes around 5 days, sometimes quicker, and currently $10 Paypal is showing as #7.31 in my pending withdrawals.
Once you achieve either of the higher levels, the points increase for tasks that you do, as you can see from the table below.
But here's where Branded Surveys are different - not only can you skip the surveys, you can tell them why you skipped them! Too long for your liking? Let them know! You're not spending 15 minutes for 30 measly points? Let them know! They say this feedback helps them for future surveys, but even if it doesn't, it makes me feel better to let them know how unrealistic some of the offers are!
The amount of entries you receive depends on the Elite membership level you are at - each survey you complete will earn you 1 ticket if you are a Bronze member, 2 for Silver and 3 for Gold.
It seems that the prizes for these Challenges vary, but it's an extra chance for extra points with no extra effort.
Once you reach Silver membership, completing 10 surveys in 7 days will get you an extra 100 points. Completing 30 surveys in 7 days gets you an extra 150 points. This rises to 200 and 300 points respectively if you are a Gold member. Those points add up!
Now, in order to get a bonus, both you and your referral have to reach Silver Elite Membership. Once your referral reaches Silver, if you are Silver you get a bonus of 50 points. But if you are Gold, you get a whopping 200 points, so it's definitely worth going for Gold!
So, while it may not become your biggest earner, I think Branded Surveys is still worth thinking about - it's kept me in Pizza Express vouchers for a good few months and while I wasn't sure at first about the changeover from Mintvine, I'm pretty much sold. You can join here if you're not already a member.
Did you learn something new from the points above? Were you not convinced before but now want to become a Branded Surveys member? Come over to the GPT Genies Facebook group and let us know, or leave your comments below.
Not a member? You can join Branded Surveys here.
Here are 10 things you may or may not know about Branded Surveys:
There's a Daily Poll
Even if you never do anything else on Branded Surveys, the Daily Poll can earn you up to $5 a month for just 2 seconds of your time a day. As a basic (Bronze member) you get 5 points a day for the poll and 25 points if you complete 10 in a row. As you rise up the ranks (more about that later) the points increase.Read more about the Daily Poll on Branded Surveys here.
You get better DQ points than most sites
That 1SB DQ point from Swagbucks is great, and we all love the Tap DQ points on InstaGC, but for basic DQ points with no faffing, I love Branded surveys. I've had anything from 1 point up to 50 points for DQing from a Branded Surveys survey, but I have heard rumours of 70 points - and they clear immediately which can be a great boost if you're just a few points away from that cashout level. So stop ignoring and deleting those Branded Surveys emails, a few clicks and you could be adding to your points balance without even having to complete a survey.
It's slow to start
When you first start it's easy to be discouraged on Branded Surveys, as all survey points pend for 14 days. That means it can seem like a long hard slog to get to the 1000 points cashout criteria. But stick with it - once you're into a routine, points will be clearing every day and you'll soon see that you can cash out more regularly.1000 points is $10 to Paypal, or to a number of giftcards (including my favourite, Pizza Express). Payment takes around 5 days, sometimes quicker, and currently $10 Paypal is showing as #7.31 in my pending withdrawals.
The more surveys you do, the better points you get
Branded Surveys runs an 'Elite membership' system upon where you become a Bronze Elite member on joining. The more surveys or offers that you do, the more points you earn towards becoming a Silver and then Gold Elite member. 10 points from surveys or offers gives you one credit towards your membership level. You need 60 credits to get to Silver and 210 credits to get to Gold.Once you achieve either of the higher levels, the points increase for tasks that you do, as you can see from the table below.
You can skip surveys with no penalty
While the survey offers via email are often quite high points, the ones on the site itself can often be lower points than you would like. But no need to worry, you can skip surveys with no penalty and you won't be offered them again.
EngagemeTV runs quicker for Branded Surveys
Lots of us run EngagemeTV for Instagc or Earnably, Swagbucks or Grabpoints, but in our recent study, we found that it credits more quickly on Branded Surveys, with you having to sit through fewer ads in order to receive points. The table below shows the comparison and you can read more about it hereThey have offer walls too
While Branded Surveys have fewer offer walls than some of the other GPT sites, often the points available can be slightly better. So it's worth checking there before doing an offer on another site if you've seen it on OfferToro, Personaly, PeanutLabs, Adwall, TrialPay or AdGate. They have 'The Complete Challenge'
The Complete Challenge is a daily, weekly and monthly draw to win additional points. You will automatically be submitted for Complete challenges when you complete a survey.
Bonus points can be awesome
In much the same way as there are points awarded for completing 10 polls in a row, there are also extra points up for grabs if you complete a certain number of surveys in a certain number of days.Once you reach Silver membership, completing 10 surveys in 7 days will get you an extra 100 points. Completing 30 surveys in 7 days gets you an extra 150 points. This rises to 200 and 300 points respectively if you are a Gold member. Those points add up!
Their referral scheme is confusing, but worth it
When they were Mintvine, Branded Surveys had one of the most lucrative referral schemes out there. However that has now changed slightly. You still get 10% of your referrals earnings for life (on surveys and offers only). But the signup bonus (that used to be 50 points per referral) has changed.

Getting referrals - it's bloody hard work!
(I originally wrote this in September 2017 in our Facebook group)
I'd like to talk about referrals (again)
At least once a week someone tells me that the reason I make so much money on survey sites is 'because you have referrals', 'with referrals it's easy' etc.
And it makes me kind of mad.
In August 2017 I got 204 referrals on Swagbucks, over 250 on Mintvine and over 100 on Prolific. It was my best referral month so far at the time .
But it's far from bloody easy! Don't get me wrong, getting a few referrals isn't difficult but getting enough referrals that then go on to actually DO something is hard work.
- I've sent out (at their request) over 300 private messages
- I've spent time explaining to 300 people the benefits
- I've answered questions from over 100 people
- I've spent time supporting them and helping those that needed it
- I''ve written a variety of ads for different places
- I've taken part in conversations, often lasting days
- I've posted, reposted, renewed and bumped ads I've posted
I invite them into this group where I and a core group of members support and help them too.
Out of 204 Swagbucks referrals, maybe 20 odd of them are actually using the site beyond getting 1 or 2sb on their first day.
Some decide it's too hard, they don't have the time, it's too boring or it's just 'not for them'
And that's fine, their choice. Maybe they'll come back in the future. I'll be here.
Then there's the people I've spent time with who sign up but don't bother to use my referral link - annoying but not the end of the world.
I don't make the fortune people think I do out of my referrals. Out of the £511 I made in August, 240 pounds was on swagbucks maybe 10-15% of THAT was from referrals. A decent amount, I admit, but if I'm making that then think how much they are making? THAT'S why I look after those that need it - it's a win win situation.
Don't focus on the quantity of referrals you get, focus on the quality. 1 decent referral is way better than 5 that never do anything.
And if you know someone gets referrals, and they post that they've made a decent amount of money one month, don't presume they've done nothing to earn it.

Your Newbie Guide to GPT Site Earnably
When you first join any new GPT site, it can all be a little daunting. If you've gotten used to the layout and familiar routine of one site, another one could be totally different and knock you for 6. It might even put you off using the site altogether, but that's where we, your GPT Genies come in with yet another newbies guide - in this case it's for relative newcomer Earnably!
We're going to presume you've already signed up - that's the easy part! If not, click here to join, then grab a cup of coffee and let's get you earning.
When you first sign in (on a laptop/desktop) this is what you're faced with. As you can see, many of the offer walls are ones you'll already be familiar with from other websites.
By clicking on the plus sign bottom right, you'll see a few extra walls you may not be familiar with but they work in pretty much the same way.
Across the top of the front page you should see menu links for Earn, Redeem, Invite and Help, let's go through some of these before we come back to the walls.
Let's start with Daily Surveys:
Those of you who use InstaGC should already be familiar with some of these, and to be honest the best thing you can do if you're not is click on the links and try out some surveys.
Unlike other sites that use YourSurveys (InstaGC for example) there seems to be no time limit between surveys so it's an easy way to rack up points on your commute, while queuing in shops, watching TV or any other downtime you possibly have.
It's pretty easy to start, just input your email address (you don't need to register) and you're on your way
You'll need to fill in some basic info each time you use this tab, depending on which surveys they have to offer:
So that's your surveys - if you're a survey lover (and yes, there are those people out there) then it's worth having a play and seeing how many points you can get in maybe 20 minutes or so a day, then see if it's for you.
The main three video walls you'll make money from in the UK are EngagemeTV, S'moresTV and VideoLoyalty - it seems that the rest only have videos for the US, unfortunately.
One thing we like about Earnably is that it has a higher rate of payout per credit for EngagemeTV/S'moresTV, at 0.8 points per credit as opposed to 0.7 on InstaGC - it may seem like a small difference but if you can run these videos all day, it can make a difference.
Remember, you can't run EngagemeTv AND SmoresTV at the same time as they are the same company, and you can't run either of them if you're already running them for another site.
You CAN run either of them and VideoLoyalty at the same time.
We find that running EngagemeTV or SmoresTV seems to credit every ten minutes or so on average, sometimes more often, sometimes less. So, if you can find a channel with ads (you won't get credited if there are no ads as those are what you are actually being paid to watch) then it's a good passive way to earn points.
Remember to check into the GPT Genies Facebook group to find out which channels are crediting for people each day; there's usually a dedicated thread and a quick search should find it easily.
You can find out more about running EngagemeTV in these posts:
The principals are the same whichever site you run EngagemeTV for.
Figure8 is a whole learning curve in itself, whivhever site you're doing it on - you can find out more in this post:
Offer codes are posted on their Facebook page, Twitter account and of course in the GPT Genies Facebook group thread, and if you're new to Earnably, start with the code GPTGENIES5 and get an extra 5% on your earnings for 7 days.
In addition to this, Earnably run a Trivia Tuesday quiz on Twitter every Tuesday night which can be a lot of fun. You can find out more about it here, and the winners get unique bonus codes just for them! We'd love to see more of you there.
And so, back to Offer Walls.
What we will say is that it's often worth checking out which site offers more for an offer - often Earnably offers more points than Swagbucks for example for exactly the same offer. Just be aware that it's often not possible to do the same offer on more than one site, so do your research, especially if it's a high paying one.
Another good thing is that points very rarely pend on Earnably, you usually get your credit the same day, so that's worth bearing in mind when comparing it to other sites.
Take some time and spend a few minutes looking through the offer walls to see what you can find - and of course check out the GPT Genies' Facebook Group for easy offers that people have posted.
But, of course, there's one more important thing - payment!
For Paypal and Amazon, the most popular options, at the time of writing £1 was 180 points. As with most sites, it's often worth saving up for a £5 or £10 voucher / payment, depending on the points value. Prices are listed in UK Pounds, so it's easy to know how much you're going to receive.
One thing that Earnably do that is different, however, is offer an 'Autoredeem' function - this means that they will automatically cash you out when you reach your pre determined level. There is a 1% fee per transaction for this option though. As an example, currently £10 on Paypal is 1410 points. If you had this set to auto redem every £10 you would pay a fee of 14 points each time it did so. Only you can decide whether this is worth it or not, but the auto redeem feature does work well if you want your earnings to be truly passive.
Payment takes approximately 3 days to reach you, often quicker depending on how busy they are.
As Earnably is a UK based company, you can expect to receive a response during UK office hours and don't worry about havng to think about US/UK times.
So, as you can see, earning on Earnably is just as easy as on Swagbucks, InstaGC and many other GPT sites, it's just a case of finding your way around and getting into a routine. You should be able to add it to your GPT list in no time at all.
First things first - the front page:
We're going to presume you've already signed up - that's the easy part! If not, click here to join, then grab a cup of coffee and let's get you earning.
When you first sign in (on a laptop/desktop) this is what you're faced with. As you can see, many of the offer walls are ones you'll already be familiar with from other websites.
By clicking on the plus sign bottom right, you'll see a few extra walls you may not be familiar with but they work in pretty much the same way.
Across the top of the front page you should see menu links for Earn, Redeem, Invite and Help, let's go through some of these before we come back to the walls.
Earn
Clicking on the earn menu will give you the following drop down:- Offer Walls - this is pretty much the same as the front page; all the offer walls Earnably has (similar to 'Discover' on Swagbucks)
- Daily Surveys - self explanatory, but one of the best places to earn if you like doing surveys
- Videos - the main money you'll make from videos on Earnably is through EngagaemeTV and S'moresTV
- Tasks - this lead to Figure8 (formerly) Crowdflower), which you will recognise if you've been on InstaGC
- Games - the only way to make money from this tab is by spending money, so not worth worrying about for now
- Apps - this currently only leads to the Adgate Rewards wall, but is a quick way to filter all the app offers on there
- Promo Codes - we'll talk more about this later
Let's start with Daily Surveys:
Daily Surveys
Earnably has 4 main survey walls:- Your Surveys
- Opinion surveys
- SaySo Rewards
- OxSample
Those of you who use InstaGC should already be familiar with some of these, and to be honest the best thing you can do if you're not is click on the links and try out some surveys.
YourSurveys
We'd recommend starting with YourSurveys as if you're not suitable for a survey you tend to find out pretty quickly and they'll reroute you to another one. YourSurveys can be done multiple times a day and pay 75 points a time.Unlike other sites that use YourSurveys (InstaGC for example) there seems to be no time limit between surveys so it's an easy way to rack up points on your commute, while queuing in shops, watching TV or any other downtime you possibly have.
It's pretty easy to start, just input your email address (you don't need to register) and you're on your way
Opinion Surveys
Opinion Surveys are also worth 75 points per survey and can be completed multiple times a dayYou'll need to fill in some basic info each time you use this tab, depending on which surveys they have to offer:
SaySo Surveys
SaySo also ask you to fill in some info, often just your age and a verification task, sometimes more. These surveys are a little more hit and miss than the two already mentioned, and worth varying amounts of points, so if getting disqualified often frustrates the hell out of you, use them as a last resort!OxSample
OxSample requires your email address to start and then often other details, depending on which surveys they have available - again it can be very hit and miss so we only tend to use it if there are no other surveys available. The good thing is that it often has surveys not featured anywhere else, although the bad thing is that the DQ rate is high, so again another one not for the easily frustratedSo that's your surveys - if you're a survey lover (and yes, there are those people out there) then it's worth having a play and seeing how many points you can get in maybe 20 minutes or so a day, then see if it's for you.
Videos

You can find out more about running EngagemeTV in these posts:
The principals are the same whichever site you run EngagemeTV for.
Tasks
The tasks section is run through Figure8, which used to be Crowdflower and can be a good earner if you have the time and can rise up through the ranks.Figure8 is a whole learning curve in itself, whivhever site you're doing it on - you can find out more in this post:
Games
As mentioned before, this games section isn't the same as games on Swagbucks, where you earn money by playing games. You have to deposit actual cash to play the games and earn points back, so only worth it if you already pay for games through GSNPromo Codes
Earnably is quite unique in the GPT world in that their codes queue up, which means you can add multiple codes and they will save, so that once one has ended, the next one will start. They also offer a percentage code rather than a fixed points code, so they can be very lucrative.Offer codes are posted on their Facebook page, Twitter account and of course in the GPT Genies Facebook group thread, and if you're new to Earnably, start with the code GPTGENIES5 and get an extra 5% on your earnings for 7 days.
In addition to this, Earnably run a Trivia Tuesday quiz on Twitter every Tuesday night which can be a lot of fun. You can find out more about it here, and the winners get unique bonus codes just for them! We'd love to see more of you there.
And so, back to Offer Walls.
Offer Walls
These are pretty much the same as most other GPT sites, so it's pointless to go through them one by one.
Redeem
Earnably offers payment in a number of ways and often cashout is from as little as £1. They offer Paypal and Mastercard, as well as the usual Amazon and Starbucks, alongside Pizza Express, iTunes, Steam and many more.
Support
Support for Earnably is through the Help option, but unusually they also offer support via Twitter and Facebook and in our experience have been quite good at responding quickly and dealing with issues. You can also email them at help@earnably.comAs Earnably is a UK based company, you can expect to receive a response during UK office hours and don't worry about havng to think about US/UK times.
So, as you can see, earning on Earnably is just as easy as on Swagbucks, InstaGC and many other GPT sites, it's just a case of finding your way around and getting into a routine. You should be able to add it to your GPT list in no time at all.
