Changes to Swagbucks' Swag Codes - must read!

So, it seems that the folks at Swagbucks are making a few changes to the way in which Swagcodes are sent out.

I've copied their blog post below but the TLDR version is:

  • Swagcodes can now appear at any time between 12PM UK time (7am PT / 10am ET) and 10PM UK time (5pm PT / 8pm ET) - which means that we can no longer rely on them being posted around 5pm UK time.
  • There will be 3 types of Swagcode - Static (the one we're used to ), Stealth (the ones they've been doing daily recently) and Linked. Linked appears to be a new one for the UK, they say: Sometimes we will release two linked Swag Codes at the same time. That means you will only be able to redeem one of the two Swag Codes. Just think of it as a fun little poll. These Swag Codes are also case-sensitive so make sure you capitalize the characters capitalized in the Swag Code Alert.
So what does that mean for us? Well, it's not the end of the world, but you need to be more vigilant than ever when it comes to keeping up with the Swagcodes, as it's not guaranteed when they will appear or which form they will take.

How can I make sure I don't miss a code?

The easiest way is to subscribe to notifications on our Swagcode thread in the UK Swagbucks & More Facebook group.

There are other ways to keep up with the codes and Hannah details them here.

For your reference, here is the post from Swagbucks - you can read it on their own blog here.

Every day Swagbucks offers new ways to earn SB! Whether you are a seasoned Swagbucks veteran or a Swagbucks newbie these Swagbucks Tips & Tricks might just be what gets you to that next Gift Card redemption. Today’s topic, redeeming Swag Codes.

What are Swag Codes?

I’m sure most of you are already familiar with Swag Codes, but for those who are new here is a quick explanation. Swag Codes are strings of text that you can redeem for instant SB. Each Swag Code is worth a certain number of SB and is only available within a specific time frame. Swag Codes will vary in SB value, ranging from 2-3 SB, with higher amounts during Swag Code Extravaganzas and special promotions.

What are the different types of Swag Codes?

  • Static Codes– These codes are universal and can be found and shared easily.
  • Stealth Swag Codes – Unlike Static Swag Codes, these cannot be shared because every user gets a different Swag Code. Stealth Swag Codes are one-time use unique Swag Codes. They look a little longer than normal Swag Codes but they are just as rewarding.
  • Linked Swag Codes – Sometimes we will release two linked Swag Codes at the same time. That means you will only be able to redeem one of the two Swag Codes. Just think of it as a fun little poll. These Swag Codes are also case-sensitive so make sure you capitalize the characters capitalized in the Swag Code Alert.

Where do I look for Swag Codes?

We know what you’re thinking, where can you find these Swag Codes? Swag Codes are hidden in the different earning opportunities on Swagbucks as well as Swagbucks social profiles including FacebookTwitter, and Instagram.
There are three main ways that we notify members when a Swag Code is live.
  1. The Swagbucks Facebook Page: Swag Code alerts are always available on the Swagbucks Facebook Page. When the Swag Code goes live a post on Facebook will either include the Swag Code or direct you where to go. There is also a feature on Facebook to turn on notifications for specific pages.
  2. SwagButton – The SwagButton is a browser extension that can be added to Google Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. If you have the SwagButton installed you will get an alert on the top right of your browser directing you where to go when a Swag Code is live. That’s just one of many perks of installing the SwagButton!
  3. Swagbucks Mobile App – As long as you enable push notifications on the Swagbucks Mobile App you will receive push notifications when a Swag Code goes live. The Swagbucks Mobile App is available for both iOS and Android devices and has many other ways to earn SB.

How do I redeem Swag Codes?

Most Swag Codes can be redeemed in one of three ways:
  1. Swag Code box – Take a look at the header on Swagbucks on desktop. See that little dial in the center that says Swag Code on it? Click on it and either type or copy and paste the Swag Code and click “Redeem”. Your SB will instantly be credited to your account.
  2. SwagButton – If you have the SwagButton browser extension simply click on the Swagbucks logo on the top right of your browser window, then click on Swag Code and type or copy and paste the Swag Code and click “Redeem Swag Code”. That’s it, instant SB.
  3. Swagbucks Mobile App – Assuming you have the Swagbucks Mobile App installed on your mobile device simply open the app and click on the lock dial icon on the top right (to the left of the search icon). Type in your Swag Code and the SB are yours.

For all of our veteran Swag Code Redeemers, here’s some new information:

New Times:
To help get everyone involved in these very rewarding codes, we’re spreading the love to other times of day. A Swag Codes can go live anytime between 7AM PT/10AM ET and 5PM PT/8PM ET. Make sure you have your notifications set up so you don’t miss out on a Swag Code!
That sure was a lot of information about Swag Codes but there is still more to know. Don’t worry Swaggernauts, once I’m done with you, you won’t ever miss another Swag Code.
Swagbucks Pro-Tip:
When redeeming a Stealth Swag Code it is preferable to copy and paste it into the Swag Code box. Also, make sure when copying and pasting that you don’t include an extra space.
Well now that you’re a Swag Code expert, go out there and earn! Stay tuned for more Tips & Tricks every week!

30 Day Referral Challenge - Day 3

This is Day 3 of the 30 Day Referral Challenge - you can find out more here

Welcome to Day 3 of the 30 Day Referral Challenge, and thank you for joining me :)

Referrals can be the life blood of your earnings in 2018.

This 30 Day email course is going to explain and hopefully help you to make the most of referrals this year.

If you've missed any days, they'll be available on the 30 Day Challenge page.

We're going to cover various things, starting with:
  • Writing different types of ads
  • Where to find referrals
  • Using social media to best effect
  • 'Alternative' places to find referrals
  • Keeping your referrals engaged
  • Why referrals don't earn
  • and more!
So, time for Day 3!

Facebook is your friend!

Because most of you found out about this course through Facebook, over the next couple of days we're going to focus on getting referrals through Facebook channels.

I'm going to presume that you've either already posted on your own profile, or don't want to, and move straight on to Facebook referral groups.

There are a lot of referral groups on Facebook, and it can seem like a waste of time posting on them, because so many others are posting the same thing. That's why we focused on writing a great ad in Day 1 :)
Today I want you to join some Facebook referral groups - I'm going to start you off with a few, but a simple search for 'referral' on Facebook should throw up a few more.

Join the groups BUT DON'T POST ANYTHING YET.

Spend some time reading the groups, see what is posted in there - not many referral groups get a lot of responses, but look and see which posts are getting likes, or comments.

Keep track.

One of the most important pieces of advice I can give you is to keep track of things.

I know it's dull, but it really will help later down the line, if you're serious about making referrals work for you.

Start a spreadsheet, open a Word doc, write it ina notepad, whatever works for you. In column 1, write the name of the group. In column 2 copy the ad you're going to post - I know how eager you're going to be so I'd suggest a different ad for each group for now. I give my ads names, and keep them in a Shortkeys file on my laptop - you may have a different approach. Columns 3 onwards will be for you to write in the dates that you posted ads. Bear in mind you may have more than one entry per group, depending on how many ads you have.

Here's what mine looks like (click on the image to make it larger):

Today's homework is boring but essential :)

Home work for Day 3.

  • Start your spreadsheet, Word doc, notepad page or whatever you're going to do to organise your posting
  • Join the 5 groups I've mentioned above
  • Find another 5 to join that I haven't recommended (or you'll all be in the same groups lol)
  • Organise your dates - don't post to the same group more than once a week, and vary your ads if possible.
  • Pop over to our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/UKSwagbucksAndMore/ and post if you found Day 3 useful!

Day 4 tomorrow.

Tomorrow we'll look at other types of groups that you'll be able to get referrals from -  post in group if you have any questions, as the answer might help others

Happy Referral gathering everyone

Hop into Spring with a sunny 300SB from the new Swagbucks Swago board!

The snowdrops have opened, the daffodils are poking their heads above the snow and the weatherman tells us things should get better soon. Spring is in the air and with it comes a new Swagbucks Swago board!

Looks like this is the big one and includes a variety of things, so before you start completing it, read Hannah's blog here on Top Tips for Completing Swago. (I'm not joking, go do that now, especially if this is your first time.)

Here's what you need to know...

The digital rewards site Swagbucks is celebrating their birthday with another big "Swago" promotion starting Monday, 5th March 5PM UK time! Swago is just like bingo, but in this case you're filling out squares as you earn points on their site for doing things you already do online. If you're thinking of trying Swagbucks, this is a great chance to learn all about how the site works and earn bonus points while doing it, meaning you can get more gift cards faster.

JOIN THE BOARD HERE

Not on Swagbucks yet? I make around £200 a month so it's well worth joining! Come and join me

Here are a few tips for your Swago board:

  • Each square on your Swago Board will contain an action item to complete. They can be anything from getting a search win, completing a survey, or just visiting one of our popular stores!

  • Once you complete the action item in a particular square the square will change color signifying the action item is complete.

  • You have until 8pm UK time on Monday March 12th to mark off as many squares as possible so use your time wisely.
  • YOU CAN ONLY SUBMIT YOUR BOARD ONCE SO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T SUBMIT UNTIL YOU HAVE THE MAXIMUM BONUS YOU CAN GET!

  • Be mindful of the patterns and their corresponding bonuses located on the right of your Swago Board. The patterns will vary in difficulty and bonus value. Once you’ve achieved a pattern, the corresponding “Submit” button will light up. You can have multiple patterns available for submission, however, you can only submit ONE pattern so choose wisely.
  • We don't know yet if there will be Spin and Win

Fill up your board and then submit your pattern to get even more points - if you can fill in the whole board, you get a 300 SB bonus, which goes a long way towards your first gift card from the retailer of your choice.

Click here right now and click "Join" to get started! If you don't already have a Swagbucks account, you'll be able to quickly sign up; PLUS, if you earn 300 SB before the first of next month, you'll get a bonus 300 SB!

Earnings roundup - Feb 2018

So, can you make money from survey and GPT sites? Each month I'll show you what I made the previous month, explain a little about the sites and apps I used, and keep a running total for the year. As this only started in February, you'll have to trust me that in January I made £327.88.

So, February 2018

I had been hoping that February would be a little better than January, as January was a VERY quiet month. Unfortunately a combination of family stuff, work / clients being very intensive, and a general lack of adverts on a lot of the video sites I use, meant it was even quieter than usual.

I tried to stick to my planned 1.5 hours a day, but for at least 10 days in February I couldn't even spare that, so I wasn't holding out much hope for much more than about £50.

Let's see how things went...

Swagbucks

Swagbucks is my favourite site, probably because it was the first one I joined, and it'sthe one I make the most from.. It's mainly video apps, surveys, clicks, offers, trials etc. If their advertisers aren't paying much (and Jan and Feb are notoriously quiet) then there's not always a lot to do. I don't like doing surveys, so I rely on the video apps (which I can leave running whileI do other things) and other parts of the site to earn. Some days in Feb I didn't even get the chance to do that, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had managed to cashout £105 in February.

You can sign up to Swagbucks by clicking here. Read how you can get a bonus in March, then sign up using your email address, not the Facebook option.

InstaGC

I love InstaGC because there's a lot of opportunity for passive earnings (ie not having to do anything). I mainly run videos on here, there are 4 streams of videos to run and I run them all as often as I can. There are also surveys and offers, the same as Swagbucks, and a lot of the surveys are short, which I like.

Again, it was quiet as there weren't many advertisementson the video streams and I had problems running a couple, so I didn't make as much as I usually do. Add to that the days off and I was happy to have cashed out $50 to Paypal, which worked out at £34.91

Yu can sign up to InstaGC by clicking here - if you do, it's worth dropping me a line on Facebook as it can be a little confusing at first and I can help you to get started.

Branded Surveys

Branded Surveys, which used to be called Mintvine is a bit of an acquired taste these days but I kind of like it. I don't earn as much as I used to from it, but I stick with it because it pays for my Pizza Express addiction.

Like the others, it's surveys and offers - no video options anymore, which means actually DOING something on the site, which is one reasonI don't make as much these days.

In February I cashed out the £15 voucher you see above and another £10, which will clear soon. You can also cash out to Paypal, Tesco, Amazon etc, but I use it purely for Pizza Express for a nice treat every month.

You can sign up to Branded Surveys by clicking here - new members tend to get some good surveys for big points and little effort so definitely worthwhile.

Prolific Academic

Prolific is purely a survey site, but as it's an Academic site the surveys tend to be really interesting and sometimes even fun. There's sometimes an option to earn bonuses, but in general they're one of the better paying survey sites. The only dowside of this site is that they don't email you when a survey is available, so you have to check the site regularly and as such it's easy to miss out on surveys / studies. Payment ranges from pence per study to pounds - in the past I've done stuides worth £16, £20 and more.

Newbies on here tend to get a lot of studies - in my first month I made over £100. This tapers off after a while, and that, combined with the fact that I didn't have a lot of time to be checking in February meant that I only made £18.10 - must try harder in March!

You can sign up to Prolific by clicking here. Be sure to complete all of the prescreening questions and to check in often.

Minor Earners

I have a few phone apps that I also use that take up very little time, and I can do while in the car (as a passenger!), watching TV, waiting for the kettle to boil, in queues in shops etc.

CitizenMe

Short (4 or 5 questions usually) surveys that pay small amounts immediatelyto Paypal. You'll have to search your app store to find it and it's never going to make you rich but every little helps! Feb earnings - £0.72

Vypr

A great little app that gives you 'steers' every so often. These are mainly about food and are usually just 1 question at a time. Cashout is at £5 to Paypal. Another one that won't make you rich but it's an extra fiver every month or so, so I keep it. Feb earnings £5

You can find links to Vypr by clicking here.

Attapoll

Another app that sends out surveys every couple of days - there seem to have been quite a few in Feb so I was able to cashout £5.15. They pay to Paypal within a couple of hours.

You can get Attapoll by clicking here - it's pretty straightforward and will alert you when there is a survey available.

Gfk Media

This is a browser add on that pays me £10 every 6 weeks or so per device I have it on. Well, DID as it's now been discontinued. I gained another £10 from it this month - it should have been more but I had deactivated it on a few of my devices. It is being replaced by Nicequest, which I'll be checking out ready for next month.

Total

So that means that February 2018 came in at £203.73 - not that great, but not that bad either. Hopefully March will give me more passive earnings and a higher total.

That's £327.88 in January and £203.73 in February, making a running total of £531.61 so far this year.

Hopefully March will be better!
