Swagbucks Swag IQ - now available in the UK!

It’s been available in the US for a while, and we’ve been madly jealous, but be green no more, for Swag IQ has arrived in the UK!

What is Swag IQ?

Swag IQ is the live trivia game show where you test your knowledge to win huge cash prizes. It’s free. Just download the app by clicking on the link below to play.

How do I play?

It’s easy. Swag IQ is the fun live trivia game show where you can earn cash just for playing and a grand prize if you answer all the questions correctly.
Our host will ask a series of 10 trivia questions and we’ll present you with 3 multiple choice answers from which to choose.
You’ll have exactly 10 seconds from the time our host starts reading the question to select your answer.
If you answer the question correctly, you’ll advance to the next question. If you answer all 10 questions correctly, you win the grand prize. If multiple players answer all 10 questions correctly, you split the prize with the other winners.
If you answer a question incorrectly or do not submit an answer within the 10 seconds allotted, you’re eliminated from contention for the grand prize.
However, you can still continue to play the game and answer questions. As you continue to play, you’ll earn Swag IQ’s digital currency for questions that you answer correctly. You can then redeem the Swag IQ currency, called SB, for cash or gift cards. (100 SB = $1).
Players also have the option to rejoin the game one time during the course of play. If you’re eliminated from contention for the grand prize, Swag IQ will present you with an offer to rejoin, either by redeeming your SB, provided you have a sufficient balance or Rejoining for Free every time a friend signs up to Swag IQ through your referral code or link.
Download the game app now!

Does it cost anything to play Swag IQ?

No, Swag IQ is completely free to play. Be aware, however that if you choose to rejoin a game after being eliminated, and you have no referral credits, it will cost you SB from your Swagbucks balance.

Is there a referral scheme?

Yes, use the invite feature to send your family and friends a text message with a referral link to download Swag IQ. And, when your family and friends sign-up with your referral link, you’ll earn 10% of their winnings. For life!

When can I play?

The next game is on Tuesday 25th September at 1am BST. Future games will be every Tuesday at the same time.

How do I get the app?

Citizen Me - make money with an app on your phone!

With Summer well and truly here, GPT (Get Paid To) earnings on survey and offer sites can wain. The kids are at home, we’re all going on holiday and sometimes it’s just too much effort.
This is where GPT earning apps come in to their own – most apps take up little time, little effort and can be done while you’re on the go. Whether standing in the supermarket queue, sunbathing on the beach, watching TV with the kids or one of the myriad of other things you’re going to be doing this summer, GPT earning apps make sure that you can still be earning when you can’t do long surveys or spend chunks of time on a site.
In this post I’d like to talk about CitizenMe

What is CitizenMe?

CitizenMe is an Android or iOS app that gives you mini quizzes to help you learn more about yourself and your community, whilst earning a little money on the side.

Where can I get CitizenMe?

You can get it on Android here
You can get it for iOS here

What do I have to do?

Once you sign up, and give some basic information, all you have to do is answer the quizzes that pop up.
Most quizzes consist of between 1 and 5 questions, but if there are more, you are told in advance and can decide whether or not to do them.
At the end of a quiz you will see the results and how you compare with others who have done the same quiz, and be given the opportunity to share on social media.

Are all quizzes paid?

No, there are a few types of quiz.
Light blue ones are just for fun
Darker blue and purple ones aren’t paid, but learn more about you, which in turn means you could get more paying quizzes.
Red quizzes donate to charity.
The ones to look out for are the green ones – they will earn you a few pence.
Just click on the quiz, answer the questions and Bob’s your uncle!

How do I cashout on CitizenMe?

Well, you don’t, as such! When you sign up, CitizenMe asks for your Paypal details, and every time you complete a paid quiz, the money is sent instantly to your Paypal account.

How much can I earn on CitizenMe?

It very much depends on the info you share to be honest. The more you share, the more likely you are to get paying quizzes.
Quizzes tend to pay anything from a few pence to upwards of £1, but you have to be quick! The beauty of the app is that the quizzes take seconds to do and you’re paid immediately. If you manage to get most quizzes, this should net you about £2-5 a month, we reckon – it’s not going to make you a millionaire, but for the time it takes, it’s worth adding to your routine.

What do CitizenMe do with my data?

Citizenme say: We do not lease, sell or share any of your personal information with third parties. All of your personal data stays securely on your own smartphone. Only you can choose to share your data and only with your explicit permission. When you do so, it is anonymised by default.
Basically what this means is that your data is not stored on their servers, but on your phone, and the only time it leaves there is when you do a quiz. When the data leaves your phone it is anonymised, which means it cannot be attributed to you personally, just your dataset. In short, nothing to worry about!

Is there a referral scheme?

Not currently, but we understand that there will be one introduced in the coming months

How can I contact CitizenMe?

Or via the app itself

I have another question you haven’t answered!

Sorry about that, why not come and ask in our Facebook group where over 9,000 members use sites and apps such as CitizenMe?

Swagbucks To-Do list updated

I really wish I could share good news with you about Swagbucks. It was the first site most of us started with and I know a lot of you still love it.
But it’s more bad news for mobile users, I’m afraid.
As of today it seems that as Ncraves isn’t working for a lot of people, it’s been replaced in the To-Do list with a Swagbutton point.
As a mobile user, this means you won’t be able to complete the To-Do list, although if you have a laptop you will by installing the Swagbutton.
The good news is, the point is added automatically if you’re a laptop/computer user, so you don’t need to do anything.
But it does seem to be another swipe at the mobile only users, so a lot of people won’t be happy.
Just another day in the declining points of Swagbucks, folks!

Money making app Panel App - a quick FAQ

If you’re looking for a quick and big earner, this isn’t it, but if slow and steady with no effort is just your style and you’re happy with only cashing out every few weeks, then Panel App could be for you!
It’s easy and practically passive whilst taking up very little room on your phone.

What is Panel App?

Panel App is an Android or iOS app that gives you points for checking in on the app every day. In addition you will occasionally get mini surveys, usually based on your GPS location, for extra points.

Where can I get Panel App?

You can get it on Android here
You can get it for iOS here

What do I have to do?

Once you sign up, and give some basic information, you simply need to open the app every day to gain points. Seriously, that’s it!
OK, occasionally you may have a survey, usually based upon where you’ve been, but they’re really quick and easy:
Just click on ‘Begin survey’ and you’ll be asked a few questions based upon your location:
That’s really it! Each survey has around 3-4 questions max so this app can really be done in under a minute a day. That’s about as passive as it gets!
But even better, Panel App does claim that you can earn points without even opening the app! I’ve never managed to get this to work but it’s worth a try. You can read more about it here.

So how do the points work?

Panel App say that you can accrue points in 3 different ways:
  1. Up to 33 points a day simply by having the app on your phone and connected to wifi with GPS location on (I get these points by opening the app every day)
  2. By answering their surveys – again up to 33 points a day.
  3. By referring people – you get 10% of the points that your referrals earn. See later on for the referral scheme and how it works.
So potentially 66 points a day. Plus any referral points.

How do I cashout on Panel App?

Once you have accrued enough points, you can cashout for either Sweepstakes or Amazon/Mastercard vouchers (called ‘guaranteed vouchers’). Of course we recommend the guaranteed vouchers!
Simply click on the REDEEM button under your points total.
At the time of writing guaranteed vouchers were:
£1 Amazon – 1230 points
£2 Amazon – 2460 points
£5 Amazon – 6140 points
£5 Mastercard – 6140 points
You will be asked to confirm your email address the first time you cash out – after that you will receive an email confirming your cashout and telling you it could be 2 working weeks before you get your voucher.
In my experience, it does take the full 2-3 weeks so be prepared to wait.
As there is only 10 points benefit in waiting until you have enough points for a £5 voucher, unless you really want Mastercard, I’d cashout at every £1.

How much can I earn on Panel App?

It depends on whether you get the full quota of 66 points a day, and on the amount of referrals you manage to get, is the only answer I can give you.
Based on 33 points a day, it would take just over a month (37 days) to get £1.
Based on 66 points a day that time would be halved, obviously so you would be getting your £1 every 18 days or so.
That makes it worth either around £10 or £20 a year respectively.
Of course, adding in referrals would make the cashout time shorter.
As i said in the beginning, you’re not going to become a millionaire from it but it takes up less room than the games you play on your phone and for most of those you make NO money – so to me it’s worth it.

Is there a referral scheme?

There is, but I’ll be honest and say I haven’t managed to get it to work properly for me.
I managed to get to level 4 of the referral scheme somehow but haven’t been able to progress beyond that. Others I know have had more luck. The reason for this is that most people invite people individually while I post in groups and on blogs, I don’t know.
Either way you get 10% of your referrals’ earnings so it could be a good points bonus and mean you cashing out a lot more often!

More Swagbucks cuts - is it still worth it?

I used to love Swagbucks, I really did – and I still think it’s a great way to earn. But I can’t deny that it’s getting more and more difficult to earn as much as before while spending the same amount of time on the site.
2018 has seen them bring in more and more cuts in the ways in which we can earn.
They’ve:
  • Increased the daily goals
  • Decreased the daily goal bonuses (they used to be 10% now they’re often less)
  • Made it more difficult to get search wins, and also reduced the average amount of SB on those search wins
  • Reduced the amount of SB you can get from the video apps from 70sb (Android) to 34sb a day
  • Reduced ToolbarTV from around 20sb a day to 4 or 5sb a day
  • Reduced Extravaganza amounts from around 40sb to 35sb
  • Reduced the daily to do list bonus, despite telling us they were increasing
  • Removed the 1sb from the Daily Deal
  • Made it so that we can only redeem the Swagcode from the Swagbutton or the mobile app
  • Made it difficult to earn anything from Swago unless you have both a mobile and a computer
  • Reduced iSpy from around 20sb to 16sb
And here comes yet another cut:

Another one?

Yes another one.
As of now, the previously weekly iSpy will now only be held on the last Tuesday of the month.
So instead of being able to collect 16sb every Tuesday, now we’ll only be able to earn 16sb once a month.
That’s a loss of around 48sb a month – I know it doesn’t sound like much but when you add up all the small ways that sb are being taken away, it soon adds up.
It means that to earn the same, we have to work harder and spend more time on the site.

Well that sucks!

It does, but it’s not all doom and gloom, honestly. There are still some great ways to earn on the site and it IS still possible to hit goal every day and earn bonuses.
But, still being honest, I find myself spending less time there and more time on InstaGCEarnably and Branded Surveys and as such my earnings there have gone up dramatically.
What have you done to make up the Swagbucks shortfall? Come and tell us in the Facebook Group.
